About Regenera America

In 2021, Mercado Libre launched Regenera America, a program designed to protect biodiversity and regenerate the iconic biomes of Latin America, a region that is home to a quarter of the planet’s biodiversity. Along the way, Mercado Libre has partnered with technology company, Pachama, to bring added transparency and integrity to the program.

During these first two years, Regenera America has invested $18M in ecological conservation and restoration projects, creating hundreds of job opportunities for men and woman, starting a restoration process for over 6,000 hectares and planting over 1 million trees via six projects in Mexico and Brazil.

Mercado Libre is looking to grow their investment in high-impact projects across Latin America in 2023 and invites organizations, institutions and project developers to submit their projects.
